Objectives:

TRAFOO's main goal is to promote holistic and environment-friendly lifestyles through educating members of society, especially youth, youth workers, pedagogs, young families with children, and Ukrainian war refugees in 
1) traditional food preservation methods passed transgenerationally to minimize food waste and 
2) economically reasonable spending on food (financial literacy), 
3) practicing freedom of expression on the project topic innovatively and inclusively.

The project aims to strengthen the following constructs among the target group, including but not limited to, 
dealing with unavoidable food waste and why it is important; 
evaluating the causes of food loss and waste and assessing the effect on the planet in terms of food security, sustainability, and climate change; 
analyzing specific food waste situations and the ways of diminishing them practically;
showing how changes in the way they shop, cook, and store food can help reduce food waste; 
raising awareness of how collaboration for producing of actionable changes can make an impact on their community; 
providing with tools for expressing their civic position creatively and innovatively.

As a result of the project, the partners will develop A methodology and a Practical Training Guide on food waste reduction and shopping habits changing in a greener way that goes in line with national gastronomic traditions.
